    Shortcuts

    Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in two cases. The first case is restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions (G6) or stale Articles for creation drafts (G13)), or in deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. In the second use case, this page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be "userfied", i.e., restored as a draft or emailed to you; this way, the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here).

    This means that content deleted after discussion – through deletion processes – may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process but through deletion review instead. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided.

    Do not request that pages deleted under speedy deletion criteria F7, F9, F11, U5, A7, A9, A11, G3, G4, G10, G11 or G12 be undeleted here.

    Western Canada Youth Parliament[edit]

    Soft deleted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Western Canada Youth Parliament. This topic was cited in reputable news sources, including CTV News. It's misleading in the AFD to have said there are only primary sources. The article itself had four notable non-primary sources. Just because it's not in CBC or Google Books does not negate notability. Many other sources (which can be added) are in print, so not online. The Lieutenant Governors of the organization included prominent Canadians, such as Ed Schreyer, the 22nd Governor General of Canada —Agent 86 (talk) 23:09, 29 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

    I would like to object to the deletion on the basis that every One-Day International between 1971 (the first ODI) and 2004 is, as far as I'm aware, retained on Wikipedia. Under Wikipedia's rules, every ODI is notable, whether it be ENG v AUS at Lord's or IND v PAK at Sharjah, or even Ireland's ODIs in Dublin. No matter how obscure, Wiki generally has a page or at least a space within a page for every ODI. There is no reason why this one-off AUS v PAK ODI at Lord's should be deleted.     2023 Iran Athletic Championships[edit]

    Few pages that were created to report results of Iranian athletic championship had been deleted with out discussion in Dec 1 2023. The editor request for deletion by this concern: "The only references provided are to primary sources, which don't establish the subject's notability. A quick search before nomination didn't turn up anything." I think although there were enough diverse resources for these athletics championship records , as the events news and resources are all in Farsi language and not English the editor saw the resources as only primary (while news agency reports and even news agency photo report were cited at the end of these wiki pages). I think existence of such pages helps to have diversity in the fields such as athletic and track fields which usually only you can find records from very developed and few western countries on Wikipedia. The pages included some information that can be very appreciated when you want to compare results of athletic records from different countries. I think they should at least initiate a discussion before deleting these pages that I recently saw have been deleted in Dec 2023 as I was trying to create new page for this year Iranian athletic championship results.
